About the role

This position is a direct hire, meaning the recruitment process is handled by Bravura and you will be employed directly by Omexom.

About the company

Omexom is part of VINCI Energies and works with developing, building, and maintaining energy infrastructure. In Sweden, the company has an established business within station projects and is now in a clear growth phase regarding power lines.

This initiative is driven by a growing need for expanded energy infrastructure, with investment rates expected to remain high for the foreseeable future. The operations are being built up step-by-step with the ambition of creating a stable and self-sustaining business in Sweden.

You will become part of a growing team in Sundsvall where colleagues work closely together and decision-making paths are short. Within Omexom in other countries, the company is already an established supplier of power lines, providing access to both competence and established working methods. For this role, there is an opportunity to help shape how the work is carried forward, in an environment where responsibility and initiative are encouraged.

Responsibilities

In the role of Estimator, you work on preparing bids for projects within power lines and become a key part of increasing Omexom's growth opportunities.

The role is broad and combines estimation work with parts of project preparation. You are responsible for analyzing tender documents, calculating project costs, and preparing complete bids. After winning deals, you are also involved in moving projects forward, for example through dialogue with subcontractors and support during the contract phase.

You work closely with the business side and have a central role in building the unit's capability to handle estimation work.

The work involves contact with both internal and external parties, where you collaborate with project management, business managers, and to some extent international colleagues. Projects are largely procured through public tenders and often run for 1–3 years.

Examples of tasks

  • Analyze and interpret tender documents

  • Prepare estimates and bids for power line projects

  • Obtain and evaluate prices from subcontractors

  • Participate in negotiations and support contract drafting

  • Contribute to developing the unit and working methods for the estimation and bidding process

Education, experience, and personal qualities

Requirements:

  • Experience in estimation work within line construction, contracting, or civil engineering

  • Experience from the energy sector or related project activities

  • Good understanding of projects, planning, and production setup

  • Good proficiency in Swedish and English

Merits:

  • Experience with power lines or high-voltage projects

  • Background as, for example, an installer, site manager, or similar role

  • Technical education in electrical power or equivalent

In this role, you thrive in an environment that is under construction, where working methods and structures develop over time. You take responsibility for your work, drive tasks forward, and are comfortable finding solutions even when conditions are not entirely clear.

You work in a structured and meticulous manner, especially in estimation work where details are of great importance. At the same time, you have good business acumen and can make relevant prioritizations in your work. You collaborate closely with others and are easy to build trust with in your contacts, both internally and externally. Your communication is clear, and you have the ability to set demands when necessary.
